Leblanc, Diana Lynn (Nee Gregory)

On Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021, Diana Lynn Leblanc (nee Gregory), loving wife of husband Cory, mother to Kolter and Alysha, passed away at the age of 42 years. Survived by her parents, Richard and Evelyn and brother Michael (Brittany Haldan). She will be sadly missed by her cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and many nieces and nephews.  Diana was a force to be reckoned with. She was filled with a zest for life, no matter what it was she was doing; being a mom, travelling with her family, studying, building a business with her husband, or supporting her community. Diana was known for her generous and kind nature; she was a giving soul with an infectious smile, and a radiant spirit.

Diana left us with these words:

“My time on this planet has come to an end but don’t be sad, I’ve lived a great many lifetimes while here. Instead, lift up my family who I left too soon.  My husband Cory who was by my side every step of the way through life. Through the good, the bad and the worst. I love you.  My son Kolter who has made me proud beyond words. You are one of my greatest accomplishments, and I’m honoured to have you call me mom.  My beautiful daughter Alysha.  I will miss being your best friend. Keep shining bright and sharing your hugs, people are privileged to have you in their lives.  To my parents and brother (sister-in-law) and extended family, rest easy knowing I’m where I’m supposed to be at this time.  To all my amazing and strong friends who walked with me to the end. Your love and support was felt every day. I’ll be getting the table set and food and drinks ready for you all to join me when it’s your time.  As they say, part of the journey is the end.”

Diana’s life will be celebrated at Fielding Park, Lively (date to be determined). A private, family interment will be held.  In lieu of flowers, donations to The Special Olympics Ontario (Sudbury) would be welcomed.  Cheques can be mailed to SOO SUDBURY, 69 Gaudette St., Chelmsford, ON P0M 1L0 or Etransfers can be sent to sudbury.communitycoordinator@specialolympicsontario.ca with the password: SOOSudbury.

  1. It’s hard to know what to say at a time like this. I cannot imagine how difficult it would be for parents to lose a child; a husband to lose his wife; young children to lose a mom. I wish I had met Diana; the vibrant description of her creates a colourful mental image: “a force to be reckoned with. She was filled with a zest for life, no matter what she did”. I’d guess she inherited many of those attributes from Evelyn and Richard. Diana will live on in your treasured memories. My deepest condolences on this tragic loss.
