The family announces with great sorrow her passing on Friday, April 24, 2026 at the age of 80 years after a long battle with COPD. Wife of Denis Lauzon (deceased), mother of Lynn of North Bay (Darrell) and Daniel of Azilda (Darlene). Mémère of Cédric, Arianne, and Joshua. Daughter of Conrad and Léona Gravelle (both deceased), sister of Gérard (Donna) both deceased, Claude (Marie-Claire), Viviane (Bob), and Jean. Mitch is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Mitch was a homemaker who enjoyed word searches and playing cards, especially with her cousin Sylvia and friend Elaine. Her Catholic faith was an important part of her life, and she never missed Saturday Mass at St. Jean de Brebeuf Church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff of the 6th floor at Health Sciences North for the care and compassion they gave her in her final days.
As per her request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
