Passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Health Sciences North surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Marvin Miller and cherished mother of Robert “Bob” (Lynn) Laplante, Ron (Nancy) Laplante, Carol (Norm) Udeschini and Lynne (Don) Major. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Natalie, Ben, Bobby, Andrea, Mathieu (Steph), Patrick, Ronny (Kayla) and her great-grandchildren Caleb, Mila and Marshall. In 1973, Marie lost her first husband Bernard Laplante. To support her family, she worked at the Sudbury General Hospital retiring after 33 years of service. She was the daughter of the late Adrien and Rose Loranger; sister of Gerard (Cathy) Loranger both predeceased, Henry (Jeannine) Loranger, Jean-Claude (Ida predeceased) Loranger, Ursula (Jim) Larocque, Mimi (Dennis) Laframboise, Carmel (Terry) Christo both predeceased, Antoinette Loranger (predeceased), and also 3 infant sisters and 1 brother. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her family was her life. She enjoyed having them around for any occasion. After her retirement and marriage to Marvin Miller they travelled the world. For the last 12 years they wintered in Florida. She loved reading, doing crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Knitting was also a favorite pastime.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (255 Church Street, Garson) on Saturday November the 13, 2021. At 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to The Canadian Cancer Society.
Cremation has taken place.
