It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Aaro Lahti, May 18, 2019 at the age of 92. Richard was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt until health limitations kicked in however, his wit and humor remained intact till the very end. He was a natural social butterfly and loved to catch up over coffee or school us at cards. Richard, more affectionately known as "Dad" or "Gramps" passed away peacefully in his sleep. He will surely be reunited with his predeceased loved ones, Anne (Woychesin), our mom, who passed in 1984 and his second wife, Denise (Lacher) who passed in 2018. He is survived by his children Kathy Brown, Darren Lahti, Darlene Dalcourt, Ronald Larcher, Daniel Larcher, Gaetane Bucholtz, Jean Marc Larcher and Rejean Larcher, their spouses and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Although Gramps told us many times that he was ready to go, we will miss his wonderful sense of humor and the mischievous twinkle in his eye.
As per his wishes, there will be no formal services, but we will host a Celebration of Life at the Beaver Lake Community Centre in the near future.
