January 29, 1996 – September 28, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Darren James Laderoute, of Sudbury, Ontario, on September 28, 2026, at the age of 30.
Darren was funny, adventurous, smart, goofy, dependable, and caring. He had a way of making people laugh and feel loved, and he touched the lives of so many people throughout his too-short life.
Darren worked as a plumber with Reliance for nearly a decade and took great pride in his work. He built many meaningful connections throughout his career and leaves behind countless people who will remember him fondly.
Outside of work, Darren loved being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding his quad, and spending time on his boat. Three Corner Lake held a special place in his heart, where he made countless memories around the campfire and on the water with his wife and friends.
Darren will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Cassandra Schlosser; his mother, Brenda Laderoute; his brother, Michael Laderoute (Ella); his niece, Ariel Laderoute; his best furry friend, Barney; his Auntie Terry (Eric); his Uncle Randy; his Uncle Joe; his Auntie Charlotte and his many cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Donald Laderoute, and his Auntie Cindy.
Darren leaves behind far too many friends to name, but each held a piece of his heart, and he loved them dearly. The laughter, adventures, friendships, and memories he created will be treasured forever.
Though his time with us was far too short, Darren lived a life filled with love, laughter, friendship, and adventure. He will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
