LACASSE, Roger René

The family announces his peaceful passing at St. Gabriel’s Villa in the morning of Saturday April 10, 2021 at the age of 66. Son of the late Lucien Lacasse and of the late Anna (née Dionne) Lacasse. Loving husband of Karen Lacasse. Beloved father of Patricia O’Donnell (Jason) and Luc Lacasse. Predeceased by his granddaughter Mykaelah. Dear brother of the late Roland Lacasse (Anita) of Chatham, Lucie Moisan (Jean-Claude) and Denis Lacasse (Thérèse) both of Val Caron, Angèle Nadon (the late Doris) of Azilda, Madeleine Parolin (Peter) of Guelph, Gisèle Parr (Bruce) of Frankford, and Louise Lacasse (Richard Poliquin) of Duhamel QC. The family would like to thank the health care team at St. Gabriel’s Villa for the care that they provided to him during his stay there. Roger was a hard worker and an integral part of the success of the family business, Lacasse Fine Wood Products, which he and Karen operated together. He was an avid outdoorsman and could often be found photographing nature and hunting with his son, siblings or close friends. His love of nature is also the reason that he was part of the Rainbow Routes Association establishing and maintaining the cross Canada trail system in the Sudbury region. In line with what was important to him, he has been cremated and there will be no funeral or visitation. At a later time the family will arrange an event to celebrate the things that were important to him. If you would like to make a donation in his honour the family would appreciate you supporting https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/rainbow-routes-association/.
