May 11, 1935-May 19, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Colette Rita Labelle (nee Hotte) with her loving son by her side at Extendicare Falconbridge on Wednesday May 19, 2021 at the age of 86 years.  Born in Sturgeon Falls to the late Honora and Alice Hotte (nee Lavallée).  Loving mother of Marc Labelle (Wendy) and Richard (predeceased). Cherished Memere of Abby Laamanen (Greg), Christina Labelle (Richard) and Jennifer Labelle (Chris), and Great grand memere to Lyla and Gavyn Paul, Matti and Oliver Laamanen.  Beloved sister of Cesaire, Fern (Edna), Robert, Rolland, Germain, Léo and Yvette Sullivan all predeceased.  She will also be lovingly remembered by Cindy Labelle, Diane, Sue and Pat and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  Colette was born and raised in Sturgeon Falls.  She worked in retail for many years at Marks and Spencer’s and Fairweathers and later volunteered for charities at Bingo 1.  Mom loved spending time with her family especially her great grandchildren whom she adored. She enjoyed watching her movies, doing crossword puzzles, and going to bingo.  She was a classy and elegant lady who will be greatly missed.  The family would like to thank the staff on the 4th floor at Extendicare Falconbridge for their kindness, compassion – it will never be forgotten. A celebration of life will be held at a later date once restrictions are lifted.
