The family announces with great sorrow his sudden passing on Monday, April 27, 2020 at 77 years.
Son to the late Jack and Grace Kunto. Beloved husband of 56 years to Carmen (Amyot). Special Dad to Richard (predeceased), Terry (predeceased) and Lisa (Vance) Hamilton. Proud Papa of Kayla…his “Monkey”. Loving brother of Stan (Sharon), Phyllis Gifford (Eric predeceased) and Margaret White (Steve). Brother-in-law to Reg Amyot (Ruth), Andy (Violet), Helen MacIsaac and Claire Amyot.
Special place in his heart for Roni, Debbie, Tina and Sam – known to many as “Mr. K”. Forever remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Born and raised in the Donovan, Ron began working at Inco at 17 and retired in 1991. In 2005 he permanently moved out to his favorite spot on the lake in Skead. Ron was always willing to lend a hand and had a solution for all. He was known for his gift of gab, storytelling and sharing a glass of wine. He was our gentle giant with a big heart. A celebration of life will be held in the future. Donations can be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Sending my deepest sincere condolences to Carmen and family on the on the passing of Ron. He was a gentleman and always welcoming person. He spent many hours with my dad at the Skead Seniors Center wood working shop where I’d stop and visit and shoot the breeze with them. He will be missed by all. May he rest in peace.

Condolences to Ron’s family. Ron was my supervisor at Inco for a few years and was a great boss. He always had funny stories to tell. When I first started working for Ron he saw me at Canadian Tire an hour before the end of my shift. I was sure I was in trouble but I asked him why he was there and he said he was looking for me. That was the start of our friendship. RIP Ron

On behalf of the Big-T Hunt Club our sincerest condolences for your loss. Ron as a founding member of our Club was sorely missed after he sold his share and we as a group missed him and spoke fondly of him. He was a fun loving guy and a good person to call a friend. Stay strong we are here should you ever need us.

These are the saddest of times when death takes one so dear to us. Without warning, unexpected and in our grief, it’s hard to say goodbye.
He was a wonderful man and your family was much loved by mine. My Debbie spent most of her childhood at your place and is still very close to you all. You took such good care of her.
I am praying for you all.
With much love, Sandy
