It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Doris Marlene Koltun (née Nasi) on July 6th, 2026, at the age of 83 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury.
The loving and long-time wife of Michael. She was the loving sister of Arvo Nasi (predeceased) and William Nasi (predeceased). The wonderful mother of Glenn, Brenda (ex son-in-law Craig Dodd) and Brian (Sylvia). The beloved grandmother of Ashley Dreika (Andrew Dreika). Also, the incredible great grandmother to Arvo and Miro.
Doris leaves behind a lifetime of love, devotion to family and untold cherished memories. She had such a beautiful and loving soul. She never failed to light up a room with her infectious personality and the ability to make everyone smile or laugh no matter what the situation. She lived to be there for her family. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her loved ones. She was a devoted wife to her husband Michael for 65 years. A loving mother to her 3 amazing children, Glenn, Brenda and Brian. She never stopped talking about how proud she was of her 3 children. Nothing made her happier then when she had all her children together in the same place. She loved her son-in-law Craig like he was her own son. She enjoyed spending her time with one of her greatest joys Scruffy (predeceased). She loved joking, telling stories and spending time with Andrew. She spent endless time with her grand daughter while she grew up and now has spend the last 2 and half years enjoying time with her 2 great grandchildren.
She loved spending her time in nature and at the beautiful lake she has known all her life, Joe Lake. She loved spending her time befriending her local wildlife. She also loved spending her time with her puzzle books, deck of cards, or crocheting. She was never not busy doing the things she loved or being a social butterfly around the lake. She will be deeply missed by all, especially her family. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy and people who love her endlessly.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to Turtle Pond Wildlife Centre https://turtlepondwc.com/donate-2 in Doris’s memory.
