Kistemaker, Marielle Thérèse ( née Campeau)

December 5th 1930 – August 13th, 2022

Devoted wife to Peter Kistemaker for 46 years. Cherished mother of Jennifer Kistemaker-Morin ( Stephan Morin) (Ottawa) and wonderful grandmother to Jaden Kistemaker-Morin (Ottawa) all formerly of Sudbury. Beloved Daughter of Hormidas and Dorine Campeau ( both predeceased ) of Montreal. Marielle spent the first part of her life with Les Filles de la Sagesse as a nun. She worked in hospital administration in Ottawa, Sturgeon Falls and Cache Bay, where she was loved by all. She attended McGill University in Sudbury and became the director of Pioneer Manor in Sudbury, where she touched the lives of many residents and families with her caring, compassionate heart. She attended All Nations Church and adored all there like a second family. She was a gentle woman with generous spirit who enriched the lives of all around her. She loved reading, cooking, the theatre, her friends, and family. She was extremely spiritual, and her faith was a guiding light which brought her strength and comfort in all her days. She will be greatly missed. In her memory, please encompass her kind soul by performing an act of help to those in need.

  2. Dear Peter and Jennifer – so sorry to hear of Marielle’s passing. My condolences to you Peter for the loss of a faithful wife, and you Jennifer for the loss of your mother. I remember Marielle as a kind, generous person who spent much time with my mother Mary, in her senior years. She was thoughtful and full of great ideas. May you find rest and solace in knowing that she is gone to be with her Lord.

  3. I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Marielle for over 52 years. In fact she hired me at the Sturgeon Falls Hospital as their Ambulance Supervisor in October of 69.
She was a grand Lady that I respected enormously.
I saw her once at the Pioneer when visiting and lost track of her after. It breaks my heart that I could not make contact with her here in Sudbury where I now reside.
She will be in my heart always
Prayers offered for all of her Family
    GOD BLESS YOU ALL….
