Keskinen, Susan Lynn

It is with heavy hearts we wish to announce the passing of Susan Lynn Keskinen (nee Turner) on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the age of 70.  Susan is predeceased by her husband Risto and by her parents William and Jean Turner. She is survived by her daughter Saralee Keskinen (Shawn). Dear sister of Pam Bishop, Bev Turner (Chris), Tanya Laine (Ari), and Greg Turner (Rina). Susan also leaves behind brothers-in-law, sisters-in- law and extended family in Finland as well as nieces and nephews here in Canada.  After almost 20 years of battling and conquering 4 different cancers and numerous other ailments, Susan has shown us all an unmatched will and determination to live. Her fur babies Barney and Vixen helped her stay positive and gave her a reason to keep fighting. Susan spent her working years as a Social Services Worker at the Genevra House, Children's Aid Society, and the Canadian Red Cross. After retirement, she continued to volunteer at the Red Cross and enjoyed her trips to Cuba where she made many friends who will also miss her dearly. Susan was deeply dedicated to her faith and was a devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Well known and much loved for her kind heart, she will be truly missed by all who knew her.  She was resilient, strong and refused to lose hope. A Celebration of Susan’s Life will take place at a later date.
