Jorgensen, Carl

The family announces with great sorrow his passing at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the age of 87 years. Loving husband to Esther (nee Robson, prev. O’Reilly) for over 34 years. Son of the late Christian and Terttu (nee Jappinen). Proud father of Carl (Barbara Saville) of Copper Cliff, Curtis (Paula) of Aurora, Stephanie Grace (Christopher) of Newmarket, and Shannon Groom (Glenn) of Lively. Grampa to Riley, Jordan, Mackenzie, Jaclyn, Andrew, Lara, Blythe, Avery, Kate, and Isla. Lovingly remembered by his sister Ilona Black (Jim) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother John (Rose) of Innisfil. Carl had a 38-year career at INCO Ltd. and was a longtime member at Lively GC and the Voyageurs GC.  A Celebration of Carl’s Life will be held at a later date. His family would like to thank the PSWs and home care staff from both Bayshore and the VON, as well as all the health care professionals at Health Sciences North. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carl’s memory, directly to the Health Sciences North Foundation or VON Canada.

  8. Unk, you are so missed by so many. Some of my happiest memories are of our family at Christmas and at French River. You have made a big difference in 3 generations and have worn so many ‘hats’ (my favourite is that fur trapper : ) You have left shoes impossible to fill, and a missing spot in all of our hearts. Irreplaceable. We were all lucky to have you for the time we did. So thank you for everything Big Carl. 💙
