Johnsen, Debbie

Passed away on June 24, 2022 in an accident on her way home from work. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Kristen Bostrom (Paul Cliche) and Kyle Bostrom (Nicole). Sadly missed by her two beautiful grandchildren Roland and Annabella whom she loved « to the moon ». Roland and Annabella learned so many things from Grammie that they will take with them as they grow. Daughter of the late Patricia and Bert Johnsen. She is survived by her brother Ed.

Debbie held two jobs; during the day she was a compassionate PSW, having gone back to school a few years ago saying, « you’re never too old to learn something new » and at night she worked for a garage. She was so creative and the best baker, always working on a project. Multi-talented she held jobs in many professions from hairdresser to pharmacy tech, transport driver and PSW, setting the example that if you put your mind to it, you can achieve your goals. She was so friendly and would always lend a kind ear to those she loved. In lieu of flowers, donations made directly to the Sudbury Women’s Center https://sudburywc.ca/donate. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

We are proud of you, and we will miss you with all our hearts.

Kristen, Kyle, Roland & Annabella

  1. Dear Kristen – your mom was on my mind and since you’re not on Facebook anymore, I did some creeping tonight and I only now found out that your mom passed away in June. My heart aches for you and your brother. I am so sorry to only learn of this now. I truly hope that your memories of happier times as a family sustain you and comfort you in the difficult days ahead. Losing a mother at such a young age is devastating. May you find strength and peace in your hearts – you are in my thoughts and prayers with love.
