It is with great sorrow that the Jetty family announces the passing of Yolande Jetty, 82 years. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 12, 2022 at Health Sciences North after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Yolande was one of five children. She will be missed by her sister Francoise (Leo) and her brothers Guy (Joan) and Claude Ouellette (Linda). She is welcomed in heaven by her sister Geatanne and her parents Simone and Omer Ouellette as well as baby Paula Jetty. Yolande grew up in the Sturgeon Falls, Flour Mill and Minnow Lake areas. She lived most of her life as a resident of Skead, Ontario, spending her winters in Florida over the last 23 years.
Before retiring, Yolande was a well-respected and loved grade one teacher for over 30 years at St. Augustin School in Garson, Ontario. Her positive impact on all her beloved students have echoed throughout the generations and many people remember how much they loved Madame Jetty and her classroom decorated with frogs of all shapes and sizes.
She was a woman of faith and attended St. Bernardine of Siena Church in Skead as well as a church at her winter home in Labelle, Florida. She was an avid reader and puzzle maker, and she created many crocheted items that decorate many homes of family and friends.
She leaves behind loving husband Edward Jetty and two children Tammy Jetty (Pascal) and Dean Jetty (Krysta). She was a doting amazing grandmother to Gregory Jetty (Mikhayla), Cassandra Jetty and Maxim Bedard. She recently became great-grandmother to Payton who provided her with great joy and comfort in her last months of life.
Her legacy of love, kindness and devotion to her family will live on in our hearts.
Yolande was always a person that thought of others first and did not want people to mourn her passing at a public visitation. There will be a mass dedicated to her memory on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 9:00 am at the St. Bernardine of Siena Church in Skead, Ontario. Donations in her memory can made to the St. Bernardine of Siena Church in Skead, ON.

So sorry Ed for your loss. Yollande sure was proud of everyone in her family and their accomplishments.
Grand- Children will certainly have many memories to share. I certainly know what your going through. Dail passes two days before Yollande after 4 months with Covid complications. Annette passes her condolences to You, Dean and Tammy.
May you have the strength of your love ones and family to carry forward during the holiday season.
