Jetty, Edward

Edward Emmanuel Jetty passed away on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023 at Health Sciences North at the age of 86.

Edward Jetty's life began in 1936 where he was the first born son of Yvonne (Durocher) and Albert Jetty and became the older brother  to Victor Jetty and Anita McDonald.  He was known to many as "Fass Eddy" (as he would say, he was much too fast to put a "t" on the "fast").  He lived the majority of his life as a resident of Skead Ontario.  He married Yolande (Ouellette) in 1960 and enjoyed 62 years  of marriage with her before she passed away in December of 2022.  He owned a Texaco service station in Garson in the early 1960s for a time and worked other jobs as a truck driver, handyman, carpenter,  as well as a building manager before he retired.  Eddy was a "jack of all trades", mastering many, and had a reputation that he could fix or "MacGyver" just about anything. He could grow and maintain the best lawn ever, anywhere.

He considered himself an honorary American, spending the last 24 winters in Labelle, Florida in his treasured motorhome, enjoying the sunshine in the fastest golf cart in the Moss Landing community.  He made many good friends there, being described by many as a kind, generous man who was quick to help anyone needing a hand or a jar of homemade jam.

He is survived by his children Tammy (Pascal Bedard) and Dean (Krysta Arlt), grandchildren Gregory Jetty (Mikhayla Schneider), Maxim Bedard, and Cassandra Jetty.  He was a great-grandfather to Payton Jetty.

As per his very clear wishes, there will be no service.
