A Life Remembered
Gaetan Gervais was a devoted family man who always put his loved ones first. He shared 54 years of marriage with the love of his life, Dorise. Together they built a life and family they treasured, raising three children and later welcoming four grandchildren. They were rarely apart, whether shopping, going out for dinner, visiting family, or simply spending an ordinary day together, they were happiest side by side.
He was a proud and loving father and grandfather, and his children and grandchildren meant the world to him. His family was always at the centre of his life.
Gaetan was a quiet and serious man, loyal and steadfast, with a strong devotion to those closest to him. He showed his love through his actions, his dedication, and the way he was always there for his family.
The outdoors was where Gaetan truly felt at home. Hunting, fishing, camping and trapping were more than hobbies, they were a way of life. He loved the peace of the woods, being near the water, and the simple beauty of nature. He also loved his trips to the Muskokas and the little things that made those days special, especially his ice cream. Finding a low-sugar ice cream he could enjoy was a small thing that brought him a lot of happiness, and those simple moments are now some of the memories his family will treasure.
Lovingly Remembered by his beloved wife of 54 years, Dorise. His children,
Gaëtanne (Michael), Anne (Edouard), Eric (Lisa), his grandchildren, Dylan, Dawson, Jacqueline, Joel. His surviving sister, Berthe Jacques (late Richard). Predeceased by his parents, Orphir and Lucille Gervais. His siblings, Yvon (Annie), Emilia, Henri (late Edna), Georgianna (Claude), and Gilberte.
A Celebration of Life for Gaetan will be held on Sunday, October 11th, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Northern Water Sports Centre, 206 Ramsey Lake Road, Sudbury, located on the shores of Ramsey Lake, next to the Sudbury Yacht Club.
Gaetan's family invites relatives and friends to gather in his memory, share stories, and celebrate a life that meant so much to those who knew and loved him.
