Passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the age of 76 years.
Predeceased by his parents Ted and Norma (nee Duncan) Harber. Beloved husband of Rolande (nee Boisvenue) for 27 years. Loving father of Shawn (Lisa) Harber and Kyle (Megan) Harber. Adored grandfather of Brodie, Marleah, Ethan, Cole, and Sunny Harber. Pre-deceased by his sister Betty Ann Sinclair (Dave), brother- in- law to Norm (Theresa) Boisvenue and Gilles Boisvenue. Proud Special Uncle to Brad Sinclair and Kristy Heimpel.
Jim retired from INCO after many loyal years of service as a Foreman. He was born in Copper Cliff on July 6, 1946 and spent his childhood summers on the shores of Harber’s Harbour in the West Arm of Lake Nipissing, where he made his home with Rolande in their retirement. This was where neighbours, friends and family were always welcome for a glass of wine on the porch. Jim enjoyed curling and ice fishing all winter, while golfing and taking care of his garden in the summer. The countless fishing and hunting trips were a joy for him to organize, and allowed him special time with his close friends, sons, and grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by them all.
At Jim’s request there will be no service, however a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Deepest sympathies to Shawn and Kyle and their entire family.
Jim was a very special and caring man, who will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. Rest in peace Jim.
