Haddad, Claudette

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Claudette Haddad on Thursday, July 4th, 2024 at the age of 85, surrounded by her three sons and brother Rolly, at Finlandia Village in Sudbury, Ontario. Daughter of the late Vic (Lee) and Lucille Corbeil. Beloved wife of the late Fred Haddad. Loving mother of David Haddad, Paul Haddad (Karin), and Glenn Haddad (Christine). Cherished grandmother “Nan”, “Nanny” of Kristi, Ryan, Danielle, Brendan, Spencer, and Sydney. Dearly loved by her siblings Rolly Corbeil (Marcy) and Rob Corbeil and sister-in law Donna Haddad. Predeceased by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law that held a special place in her heart. She will also be missed by many loving nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the amazing team at Finlandia Village for your continued kind words and the great care you gave our mom. In accordance with Mom’s wishes there will be a private immediate family Celebration of Life at a later date. “There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in our hearts”.

  2. I didn’t just lose my aunt but both the Corbeil and Haddad families lost the pillar, the matriarch of our family. She was an extremely strong, tenacious and intelligent woman. Aunt Co was a force to be reckoned with and I learned a lot from her. She taught me to advocate for myself and never give up fighting now matter how hard it gets. She fought hard right until the end even surprising doctors. Every birthday she would make us a banana cake and hide quarters – how none of us chocked is surprising. Today, I made her special cake in her memory. My heartfelt condolences to my Haddad and Corbeil families. She is at peace now with Uncle Fred. Sending my family much love, strength and comfort in the days, weeks and months ahead.

  4. Sending condolences to Claudette’s family. I got to know her when she was an important member of my son’s political campaign for Mayor in 2004. She was a hard worker and so reliable, we could always count on her no matter what. We loved her quiet ways and friendly manner and her support was invaluable. May she rest in peace.
