In Loving Memory of Marcel Joseph Edward Godon July 23, 1959 – May 25, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 25, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, he was the cherished son of the late Yvon and Helen Godon. He was a loving brother to Denise (Mike), Gabrielle, (Alvin), Claude (predeceased), and Gisele (Dan).
Above all else, he was a devoted father to his three children: Lindsay, Kory (Lei-Ann), Ocean (Sheldon), Peter and Sherri, whom he loved dearly. He took immense pride in his role as "Pipi" and Grandpa to Brooklyn, Maddie, Carson, Lily, Tyson, Trent, Logan, Jackson, Dylan, Draydan, Savannah, and Crystal. His grandchildren brought him endless joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, water skiing, and sharing a good game of cribbage with family and friends. His laughter, stories, and love of life will be remembered by all who knew him.
Though he is no longer with us in person, his family takes comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on through the memories he created and the lives he touched. He wished for those he loved to remember the good times they shared together and to keep those memories alive. While he may no longer be seen, he will remain forever in our hearts.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the healthcare professionals, friends, and loved ones who provided support and care throughout his illness.
