It is with great sadness and sorrow that the Giroux family announce the passing of their beloved Jean-Claude on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the age of 78. His passing was sudden and unexpected. He passed at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, ON with his wife Marguerite “Maggie” of 54 years by his side along with his daughter Lisette, and son’s Raymond and Robert. JC as he was known to all will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. He was quick to jump in and help in anyway he could. You could find him Thursdays at his favourite golf course, Pine Grove either working or playing the back nine. Son of the late Adélard and Auxilia (née Roy) Giroux. Jean-Claude is survived by his beloved wife Marguerite (nee Paquette), Daughter Lisette, Stepdaughter Morena, Son Raymond, (Noella nee Trottier), Grand daughter Melanie (Stephane Poulin), Grand Daughter Liane (Kyle Proulx), Son Robert (Jonathan Adams). Jean-Claude is also a great-grand father to Emilie and Nathan Poulin and Lauren and Danika Proulx. Dear brother of Thérèse Gladu (late Emeri), Pauline Leclair (late Henri), Yvonne Giroux and André Giroux (late Fran) all of Sudbury and Claire Levesque (late Jerry) of Hanmer. Predeceased by his brother Rhéal and Raymond (Zita Giroux). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made directly to your favourite charity or the Cancer Society. Due to current COVID 19 restrictions, there are no arrangements planned, the family plans to have the most incredible Celebration of his Life in the fall, planning and announcements to follow.

Maggie and Family!
We are sad to hear of JC’s sudden passing. What will Ladies Night at Pinegrove be without JC?
He had a generous heart and we felt that when speaking to him. Whenever you were together at the golf course, you could clearly see the love and respect you shared for each other.

Nos pensées et notre amour sont avec Maggie et avec ses enfants. JC avait une belle famille et beaucoup d’amis qui l’aimaient beaucoup. Sa plus grande qualité était de toujours vouloir aider son “ami”, son “voisin”, un “étranger”, sans question et sans s’attendre quelque chose en retour. Il donnait de son cœur! Il avait beaucoup d’affection pour ses deux p’tites-filles. Repose-en paix! Un don sera fait en son nom au centre McCulloch.
