It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Alfred "Fred" Gibeault on June 17, 2026, at the age of 78.
Fred is survived by his wife, Claire, with whom he shared many years and a family. He leaves behind his beloved children, Tammy (Brian) and Donald (Kathy), and his cherished grandchildren, Brianna, Jeffrey, Bradley, and Aliana.
He was predeceased by his parents, Delphis Gibeault and Éva Gibeault (née Chartrand). He is predeceased by his sisters Pauline (late John), Aline (late Raymond), Stella, and Thérèse. He is survived by his sisters Elizabeth (late Gilles) and Rollande, and his brothers Michel (Monique) and Normand (Brenda). He was also predeceased by his brothers Richard and Victor.
Fred will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Fred was a loving and caring man who was known as a true "jack of all trades." He had a remarkable ability to build, repair, and create just about anything. He was also a gifted musician who seemed able to play any instrument he picked up. His greatest passion, however, was playing the guitar and singing, especially old country music. Family and friends will always remember the many jam sessions that filled his home with music, laughter, and lasting memories.
The family would like to thank those who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time.
