Fraser, Earl Sanford “Red”

Earle Sanford Fraser aka “Red”, 94, of Sudbury, ON, passed away on April 14th, 2022, surrounded by the love of his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Ursula, Bernice (Tony), Audrey, Fawn (Mark); sons, Earle Jr., Forrest (Denise), Tyler (Rachel); along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Rita, son Jubal, granddaughter Keisha and grandson Desmond.

A retired Truck Driver who earned the title “Red the Tire Man” from his compadre’s as he was seen changing not only his tires but the tires of others without expecting anything in return. His passion for the outdoors started early in life.  Going fishing with his dog “Rusty” at the age of 10 and continuing until his body could no longer keep up.  Fishing and hunting were his greatest pastime.  When he wasn’t hunting or fishing, he would visit with family and friends. He was actively involved with his kids’ sports and would often drive their teammates to the games. One time, he crammed so many kids in his small Volkswagen beetle that he was pulled over by the police. Once the officer saw what was happening, he was let go without a hitch. We will miss him sharing countless stories. From riding horses bareback to jumping the train as a young adult.  The type of stories that kept you entertained, as you knew they weren’t fictional but real adventures backed up by black and white photos.  He surrounded himself with his true love - his family. His array of family pictures took up every inch of space throughout his house. He treasured every photo of his daughters, sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and displayed them proudly. He will be greatly missed for his jokester character and his sense of humor, which consisted of funny one-liners, and a comedic play on words. In life we loved you dearly, in death we will never stop loving you.  You were a great father, and we will always cherish our time we had with you.  You will never be forgotten, forever in our hearts. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

There will be no service at this time.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
