Born March 5, 1962, Dean passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 25, 2021, at Pioneer Manor, Sudbury, ON at the age of 59.
He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Fortin (nee Bigras) of Sudbury, ON. Dear father of Dean Jr. Fortin of Ottawa, ON, Brad Fortin of Timmins, ON & Stepfather to Justin (Aaron) Inglis of Ottawa, ON & Larah (Jeff) Bigras of Sudbury, ON. Cherished grandfather to Leila, Alexis, Lucie & Aria. Cherished son of Wallace & Marthe (nee Young) Fortin of Elliott Lake, ON. Much loved brother of Jean (Sean) O’Connor of Sudbury, ON & Linda (Phil) Kennedy of Sudbury, ON as well as many other friends and extended family members.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Dean. He loved a quiet evening with friends and family and enjoyed long walks with his wife and was often kept busy playing squash & tennis. Dean was proud to work at Affinia for over 28 years and will be dearly missed by so many clients and co-workers.
As per Dean’s wishes there will be no funeral services. If desired, memorial donations or expressions of sympathy may be payable directly to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
