It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Etiennette Emond (née Boucher) on July 6, 2026, at the age of 92.
Etiennette was known for her wonderful smile, cheery personality and kind and giving heart. She was A very loving and loved wife/mother/grandmother, great grandmother /sister and aunt.
Her greatest happiness came from spending quality time with her entire family, whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed cooking and baking, particularly preparing traditional Québécois meals during Christmas. She also enjoyed watching hockey and baseball games. Known for her love of coffee, she never turned down Tim Hortons, especially her favorite maple donut.
She was the beloved wife of the late Gilbert Emond (2012) and is survived by her five children: Diane (Lexton), Guy (Debbie), Richard (Monique), Nicole (Ronald), and Donald. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Rick (Aleasha), Averill, Lisa, Luke (Ingrid), Robert (Jamie), Austin (Jaime), Natalie, Juliane (Jamie), and her great-grandchildren: Blake, Carter, Cameron, Tyler, Abella, Amelia, Norie, Maverick, and baby Liam.
Etiennette is also remembered fondly by her siblings: Gilberte (Maurice), Ghislaine (Alphonse), Rino (Henriette), Jeannette (Normand), and Alain. She was predeceased by her siblings Roger, Claude, Mariette, Réjean, Aline, and Benoit. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
The family extends special thanks to the dedicated staff of the Trillium Wing at Pioneer Manor for their compassionate care of our mother, particularly her favorites: Amelia (RPN), Sandra (PSW), and Jeanne (PSW).
A Funeral Mass will be held at St Jean de Brébeuf church on August 6, 2026 at 10:30am.
