Emmerson, Cheryl Muriel

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Cheryl Muriel Emmerson on December 15th, 2024 surrounded by her family at Health Sciences North.

Cheryl leaves behind her best friend and husband, Robert Harding. She was a proud mother to her sons, Christopher Hadner (Jennifer) and Neil Hadner (Denise). Warm and loving Grammy to her grandkids, Hannah (Nick), Liam, Lochlan, and Brynn. Predeceased by her parents, Eldon and Muriel, sister Karen and brother Bruce. Remembered fondly by her little sister Heather Bouckley (Barry). Forever the fun aunt to Isaac (Valerie) and Lea. She will be missed dearly by her large extended family. Forever the best friend of Karen Perriard. She also leaves behind her precious fur-babies, Ellie and Frankie.

Cheryl loved camping and enjoying time outdoors. Her home was the hub for so many family gatherings and special memories. She was full of compassion for all creatures, from her cats and dogs throughout the years, to the frogs and dragonflies in her garden. She was quirky and expressed her creativity and sunny personality through many crafts and projects. Cheryl was fun-loving and had a song for every occasion- and proudly sang it. She loved her people fiercely and was proud to share pictures and stories of their adventures and accomplishments. To be known by Cheryl was truly to be loved by her. She brought light and colour to so many lives.

A special thank you to the ICU staff at HSN for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to hsnsudbury.ca or to any pet charity of your choice. A celebration of Cheryl’s beautiful life will be planned and announced at a later date.
