It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph Armand Dumais (Porky), on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the age of 63 years. Beloved son of the late Edgar and Dorothy (née Martel) Dumais. He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 47 years, Joanne (née Cloutier). Loving father of Carrie-Ann (pre-deceased), Angele (Andre) and Linda. Proud Papa to Braeden, Emilie, Caleb, Jeremi, Tyson, and Cayden. He will be deeply missed by his dear friends Roger Cloutier, Mike Trudell, Kenny Leroux, and Rob Huard. He was dearly loved by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends. Porky was a hard-working man who especially enjoyed working with his hands, whether it was taking on projects for himself or others. An avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and spend time at camp. His love for his wife, children and grandchildren was unmatched. His first priority was making sure that they had everything they needed and that they knew how much they were loved, each and every day. Everyone he met felt special and loved after talking to him as he always made sure he paid you a compliment when he saw you (any maybe even tell you an inappropriate joke).
A Celebration of Porky’s Life will be held at the Club d’Age d’Or, 26 Cote Blvd, Hanmer on Sunday, November 6, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Please join us in celebrating Porky and share stories of his many adventures.
As he would say when asked “How are you doing?” “Better now that I see you”.
