Dubreuil, Robert

It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Robert “Bob” Dubreuil on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at age 73. Bob will be remembered for his warm heart, kindness, generous spirit, laughter, and above all his love for his family and friends.

Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy Dubreuil (née Matiation). His pride and joy were his kids, Jenny Dubreuil (Rob Bignucolo) and Dale Dubreuil (Kristen), and his grandkids Ava, Lily, Ty, and Lexi, all of Sudbury. Bob grew up in Guilletville with his siblings Sue Bisaillon (Richard), Rick Dubreuil (Anita), Don Dubreuil (Harry) and Linda Bowes (Robert).

Together with Nancy, they made their home the heart of Carol Richard Park. Bob’s Garage was always filled with friends, family, sports, big laughs, cold drinks and late nights. Bob was always ready to share a toast with a Crown and Pepsi with lots of ice in his Santa glass.

Bob spent 33 years at Cambrian College in Facilities, appreciating his time with colleagues and friends while he helped the College grow.

Bob left this world the way he lived it, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Bob’s spirit lives on through his grandkids; Ava’s warm heart, Lily’s quick wit, Ty’s smooth charm, and Lexi’s boundless energy. They all inherited Bob’s sense of humour, love of sports and late nights, and his zest for life.

As we say goodbye to Bob, we remember how lucky we were to have known him. We are inspired by the way he lived each day. Show up. Work hard. Give it your all. Do it with heart. Be kind. Be generous.

In lieu of flowers, Bob’s colleagues and family established a bursary for Cambrian College students in skilled trades. You can donate to the “Bob Dubreuil Memorial Bursary” at www.cambriancollege.ca/givetoday

A Celebration of Bob’s Life is planned for May 27, 2023.

Please raise your glass for a toast:

To Bob. Just one more quick one.

  15. We are so sad for this sudden and too soon departure of such a wonderful person ! We are of an age when illness and poor health takes away the ones we love but this is just so unfair and tragic. Bob was such a great husband to Nancy and as her cousin I was happy for how happy he made her and the family their love created: I am now profoundly sad for how bereft this must surely make her, their children and grandchildren. Words cannot truly express our sorrow.
