It is with great sadness that we had to say goodbye to a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather who passed away in Sudbury, on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at age 88.
Beloved husband for 66 years of Madeleine (predeceased Jan 21, 2022). Loving father of Roger (predeceased) (Mary), Lise Pichette (Richard), Pauline Roy (Ron) and Nicole Pauze (Ray). He will be remembered by his grandchildren Eric (Kristen), Luc (Pond), Craig (Mel), Brandyn, Monique, Michel, Daniel and great-grandchildren Lila, Luca, Hannah, Gwen, Emma, and Nia.
Son of Romeo and Leda Dorion (nee Blais), both predeceased. Brother of Denise Gervais and Joe Dorion (predeceased). Brother-in-law of Henriette Poirier, Colombe Hart and Denise Lapierre. Predeceased by in-laws Rheal Lapierre, Albert Lapierre, Roland Demers, Willie Poirier, Bob Hart, Thérèse Lapierre, Colette Demers, Léonard Gervais and Barb Dorion.
Dad worked for Shell Canada as a delivery agent for many years. To this day, when we took him out for a drive, he would show us different locations where he delivered oil. In his younger days he loved camping and fishing. We will remember these trips fondly.
The family would like to thank all PSW and nursing staff from St Gabriel Villa for making his final months happy. He always praised all the staff. Donations made directly to St. Joseph’s Foundation Sudbury would be appreciated. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
