Dobson, Brent Maurice

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Brent Maurice Dobson on Wednesday January 27th, 2021. Born and raised in Sudbury, Brent started his career as a gasfitter with the Heating Mart and later became the company’s owner/operator. Looking for change he spent the last 2 decades working as a telephone technician with Bell Technical Solutions. Brent enjoyed everything living in the North offered, whether it was casting a line in the French River, an early morning hunt, or spending a warm summer day picking blueberries. He loved baseball and was an active member of the local slow-pitch community since high school where he made many lifelong friends. He was a faithful Toronto Maple Leafs fan win or lose. Brent will be remembered by those that knew him as a man with a tough exterior and a soft heart. Loyal to a fault, there was not anything he wouldn’t do for those close to him. He was a quiet guy with simple tastes, who would never turn down a beer, and a sense of humour that often-caught people by surprise. Brent leaves a wonderful legacy of love in the hearts of all those he touched during his life. Loving husband and soulmate to Lee-Anne Hallock. Devoted father to Erin, Erica (Jeff), and Brenna. Cherished Grandpa to Quentin Hallock and Amelia Deault. Beloved son of Stan (predeceased) and Eydie Dobson. Dear brother to David (Monica predeceased), Bruce (Ira), and Bryan (Joanna). Treasured son-in-law to Dave and Elaine Hallock, brother-in-law to Steven (predeceased), Lori (Matt), and Crissy. Admired by nephews Owen & Ethan, Austin & Jackson, Elliott & Casey, Lincoln, Emerson, & Connor. Adored nephew to Rainer Bartsch and Karen Christie. Survived by his grandmother Gertrud Bergbauer. Due to current restrictions, a celebration of life will take place at a later date when we can honour Brent’s life appropriately. In the meantime, family and friends are asked to remember those special moments they had with Brent and pull-out old photos so we may share them at that time.
