Mary Detelic 96 years of age passed away April 20, 2023 at the Pioneer Manor where she became a cherished resident. Her son (Steve) would like to thank the staff at Park Place at Pioneer Manor for their excellent care and compassion towards Mary.
Mary was born in Lekenik, Yugoslavia, came to Canada in 1958-1959.
She is survived by her son Steve Detelic, Frank (deceased) and daughter in law Micheline (Steinke) and grandmother of three nieces Marsha, Donna, and Stephanie.
Mary will be missed by family and an untold number of friends.
The two things Mary loved most in life were her family and her God, Jehovah.
As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she regularly shared her bible-based faith with others, Mary’s favourite scriptures she shared with people from their own Bible: Revelation 21:4; John 5:28, 29; Job 14:14,15; Psalm 37:11; Isaiah 25:5,6. Where it promises in the near future of a Resurrection on a Paradise Earth.

‘Teta Marica’ was a dear friend to my mom, so many years ago, and I have fond memories of the two of them together. May she rest in peace now.
