Dane, Mary Ann Catherine (née Zamojski)

July 27, 1960 – September 3, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mary Ann Catherine Dane, lovingly known to her family and friends as Mac, at the age of 66.

Daughter of the late Stan and Theresa (Parker) Zamojski, Mac was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She shared her life with her husband, Clifford Dane, for 45 years, with whom she built a loving family and a lifetime of cherished memories.

She will be deeply missed by her sons, Curtis and his wife Nikki, and Justin and his wife Wendy.

Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to Lucas and Charlotte Dane. She was incredibly proud of them and cherished every moment they shared. The love between Mac and her grandchildren was truly special, and the memories they made together will remain in their hearts forever.

Mac had a special place in her heart for the Parker and Hartling families who helped make Mac into the special person she was.

Mac was happiest when she was surrounded by the people and things she loved. She could often be found at the rink, cheering from the stands and supporting her family, or enjoying an afternoon of Porketta Bingo, always ready for a little fun and laughter. And, of course, she could frequently be found spending time with her beloved granddogs, Dottie and Bailie, who brought her great joy. 

Mac's sudden passing has left a tremendous void in the lives of everyone who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her love for her family, the laughter she shared, the memories she created, and the special place she held in the hearts of those closest to her.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love will continue to live on through her family, her grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Rest peacefully, Mac.

As per Mac's wishes, a celebration of life will be held at the Onaping Legion on Friday September 25th from 3pm until 6 pm.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Humane Society Greater Sudbury Animal Centre would be greatly appreciated as Mac was a big animal lover.
