D’Amour, Peter Allan,

In memory of Peter D’Amour, who passed away peacefully in is home on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 surrounded by family.  After a courageous battle with cancer, he is now flying with the ravens.

Beloved common-law husband and best friend of Louise McNamara for 40 years, his strength and compassion will be dearly missed.

Also survived by his mother Betty D’Amour (husband Alphe predeceased), brother Robert (Nancy), and his brother Nick.  Dear brother-in-law to Joe McNamara, Anne-Marie Montgomery (Bob), Marc McNamara (predeceased), Robert McNamara, Denise Barrow (Eric), and Paul McNamara (predeceased).  Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Coniston, he was a self-employed contractor for over 20 years (Pete’s Roofing & Renovations). He strived to have always provided the highest quality workmanship he could; he applied the same ideas to everything else he did, and we are all proud of everything he accomplished in life.

A special thank-you to dear friend Edgar Henri, for all the support you provided us in Pete’s final months. You were truly a gift sent to us at what was the most vital time. You will be forever in our hearts.

As per his request, there will be no funeral service; he wishes only to fly with the ravens.
