Coutu, Colette (née Rivest)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Colette Coutu on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the age of 64.  Predeceased by her father Edgar Rivest, survived by her mother Thérèse Rivest.  Beloved mother of Roxanne (Clinton).  Devoted grandmother to Tyra (Ricky) and Wesley.  She will be missed by her brothers Jean (Eva), Peter and Ben (Arlene).  Survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Colette was loved by all who met her.  She loved camping and having her family with her. She was hard working fun loving and always very devoted to her family. We will forever cherish all the memories.  She will never be forgotten.  May she rest in peace.  Donation in Colette’s memory can be made directly to the charity of choice.  As per her wishes there will be no service.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

  1. Mes sincères sympathies à toute votre famille. Colette, trop jeune. RIP. Great memories of our youth together on Alexander/Miller Street, et au camp à Lavigne. Hugs to your mom. I tried to leave a message earlier, but couldn’t get through. Tonight, I heard a Kris Kristofferson song “Take the Ribbon from my Hair” and thought of your mom playing guitar for us at camp. Bons souvenirs.
La dernière fois que j’ai vu Colette, c’était aux funérailles de mon papa. Thinking of you all.

  4. Therese, Jean, Pierre, Ben and family please accept my deepest and sincere condolences on the passing of Colette. Although I haven’t seen any of you for a long time I still remember all the good times we spent together living down the street and going to camp on lake Nipissing. We spent a lot of our childhood together. May Colette rest in peace. Your cousin Ron Sullivan.
