The family sadly announces the passing of Claude Chiasson in Sudbury on Tuesday, Aug. 25th, 2026 at Health Sciences North at 85 yrs of age. Son of the late Émilien Chiasson and Annette Chiasson (née Beaudry). Husband of Marion Chiasson (née McColeman). Beloved father of Christine Chiasson (Jacques) of Hanmer and Joanne Goulet (Daniel) of Hanmer. Dear brother of Bernard Chiasson (Rita predeceased), Denyse Aubin (Jean-Marc). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Amanda Goudreau and Daniel Jr. (Jessica) and great grandchild Addison.
Claude has retired from Canada Post as a letter carrier. He loved playing pool, fishing in his younger years and camping with his beautiful wife.
The family wishes to thank the Health Sciences North staff on 7 North for their amazing compassion, care and support.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 11:00am at the Valley East Cemetery, 170 Gravel Drive Hanmer. Followed by a Celebration of Life at Le Rendez-Vous de Vallée Est(formerly club d’age d’or) at 11:45 am-3:30pm, 26 Cote Blvd Hanmer.
