It is with great sadness that we share with you the loss of our dear wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend Jeanne Castonguay, on Thursday August 31, 2023, at the age of 70. Jeanne was a beautiful soul who loved her family and friends with her whole heart. She was a gifted knitter, gardener, and cook who was always happy to share her knowledge with others. Jeanne came to Canada from England as a free spirited 20-year-old, ready for grand adventures. She lived in many different places, eventually settling in Val Caron where she found family, friends, and so much love. Jeanne was a confidant and friend who always had a pot of coffee on and a place at her kitchen table for a chat, story, cry, or laugh. She is survived by her loving husband Richard Castonguay, her children, Regan (Sarah), Joel (Sheree), Aaron (Hannah), and Michela (Micheal). She is also survived by her grandchildren Declan, Raiden, Eamon, and Donovan and her beloved dog Boomer. She will be dearly missed by her siblings, in-laws, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and support staff at the Sudbury Cancer Centre and at Maison McCulloch Hospice for the care and dignity they provided. A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
