Our dad was born in the small farming community of Béarn, Québec on December 6th, 1938.

He was the 11th child of 15 siblings. He came to Sudbury to find work and eventually established a family.  He was a successful self-employed businessman who worked tireless hours hand in hand with our mom.  Our dad was a self-taught handyman who could fix almost anything. He had a passion for politics, real estate, gardening (specialty was cucumbers), spending time at his “farm”,  and with his family. He also loved to travel. He and our mom regularly spent their winters at their home in Bradenton, Florida.  He was an incredibly strong, passionate, hardworking, and kind man who was always there for his family. There are no words to describe how much he will be missed.

Our family would like to sincerely thank all the staff at the Health Sciences North Cancer Centre, Palliative Symptom Management Clinic and Bayshore Home Care for all their support and compassion during his battle with prostate cancer. Donations in his name can be made to the Northern Cancer Foundation or the Canadian Blood Services.
