In loving memory of Jacques “Jake” Brisson Sr., age 72.
It is with deep sadness that the family announces Jake’s passing on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026 in the comfort of his home.
Beloved husband of Linda (Tremblay) Brisson. Loving father of Jake Brisson Jr. and Eric Tremblay-Brisson (Sam). Proud grandfather of Noah and Jacob Brisson. Dear son of the late Evariste and Jeanne d’Arc (Scott) Brisson. Dear brother of Serge Brisson (Patsy), Pierrette St. Amour (Ben predeceased), Ginette Clement (Maurice predeceased), Gaetan Brisson (Marie de Korver), Alain Brisson (Sue), Joanne Jameus (Dale), Donald Brisson (Shirley Johanson), Daniel Brisson (Lise), Colette Gileau (Rejean), and Monique Brisson (Kevin King). Also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Brother-in-law to Gerald Tremblay, Lise Tremblay (Paul Arsenault), Nicole Fournier (predeceased)(Yvon), Denis Tremblay (Sue), and Carole Arsenault (Bertrand).
Jake was a hardworking miner for INCO (now Vale) for 35 years. He retired in 2005. He was a committed provider to his family and will be missed by all.
A special thank you to all of Jake’s PSWs and respite workers, especially Ankit who was an exceptional worker and became his friend.
Jake’s death has left a profound wound in our hearts and he will never be forgotten. Until we meet again… A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Jacques. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, caring brother and brother-in-law, and a true friend to so many. His kindness, warmth, and presence touched everyone who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
Please know that my thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with you, your children, grandchildren, family, and friends during this very difficult time. May the love and memories you shared with Jacques bring comfort and strength in the days ahead.
