Bridge, James “Jim”

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James (Jim) George Bridge, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on the evening of Wednesday, May 21st, 2025, at the age of 51.

Born in Sudbury and raised in Capreol, Jim was known for his warm heart and infectious personality that lifted the spirits of everyone around him. He had a special talent for the arts, especially sculpting, drawing, and photography. Jim also had a sharp grasp of new technologies and a deep appreciation for tidiness and order. His sense of humour and attention to detail were just a few of the qualities that made him so loved.

Though he faced ongoing health challenges, Jim never made moments about himself. He remained focused on others, offering kindness, laughter, and support whenever he could. His quiet strength, compassion, and love for his family are what we’ll always remember and cherish most.

Jim was the beloved son of Wesley and Susan Bridge, and a proud father to his three daughters: Morgan, Olivia, and Zoey, along with their mother, Crystal. He was a loving brother to Clark (Debilyn) and Jason (Trudy), and a devoted uncle to Jordan, Riley, Erin, and Kailey. Jim will also be fondly remembered by Victoria, Alandra, and many dear friends and extended family.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Health Sciences North, CMU, and ICU for their exceptional care and compassion.

A joint celebration of life for Jim and his Aunt Irene Lemanis will be held in Sudbury at Calvin Presbyterian Church on May 31st, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
