JP dedicated 30 years of his career to the City of Sudbury where he worked as a General
Foreman. Throughout those years he took pride in his work and most of all enjoyed the people
he had the pleasure of working alongside. He was fortunate enough to spend more years
enjoying retirement than he did working.
He enjoyed wood working and was part of a group at MacDonald Cartier for years making
banana hangers, blanket racks and potato storage bins. He also loved to tinker with clocks. We
were all the happy recipients of several refurbished, polished and ticking clocks.
He spent his childhood in Chelmsford where he attended Chelmsford Valley District Composite
School. In 2023, he was very proud to attend the 70th anniversary reunion.
As a cherished Grandpapa his greatest joy were his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He
made sure to always keep in touch with them. Either by calling or just dropping in for dinner and
a jar of pickles. He loved boasting that he had two great granddaughters who played ringette
and was always interested in his great grandson’s plays on the baseball field. His phone calls
and unexpected visits will be missed.
Thank you to all the staff at Red Oak Villa for their care and compassion and to the staff at HSN.
Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Jean Paul, on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the
