BURTON, Marlene (nee Loiselle)

BURTON, Marlene (nee Loiselle)

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Marlene Burton, on Thursday, May 19, 2022, in Sudbury, at the age of 84 years. Born to the late Conrad and Aurore Loiselle (nee Paquette). Marlene was a strong and supportive sibling to Monica (Walter - predeceased) Radicione (predeceased), Bob (Rose - predeceased) Loiselle, Gerry (Karen) Loiselle, Michael (Wendy) Loiselle, Conrad Jr (Debbie) Loiselle, Susie (Ricky) Hodgins, Dora-Ann Loiselle (predeceased), Denis Loiselle (predeceased) and Pauline Loiselle (predeceased). Marlene was a devoted wife to Victor Burton (predeceased) and together they were blessed with a loving family including their children Brian (Joanne) Burton, Debbie (Kenny, - predeceased), Lavern (predeceased) Cameron, Susie (Melvin) Talbot, Patsy (Bob -predeceased) Lalonde and Sharon (Keith Brown) Burton. And her grandchildren Jason Talbot, Joey (Nat) Talbot, Kim (Tony) Calisi, Amanda (Ryan) Wrigley, Sean (Mona) Lynds, Ryan (Sierra) Talbot, Chantal (Craig) McBea, Shawn Cameron, Julian (Jana) Talbot, Ashley (Eric) Rantala, Vicky (Ricky) Durrette and Brett Wilson. Her legacy continued with eighteen great grandchildren: Trysten, Logan, Taylor, Trey, Myles, Austen, Myla, Teaghan, Ayva, Dorian, Kenzie, Jace, Mila, Jacob, Colt, Ruby (big sister-to-be), Dawson and Coby. The blessings continued with her great great grandchild L.J (big brother-to-be). She had many lifelong friendships including her neighbour and loyal friend Gerry Jacques. Throughout the years she touched many lives with her kindness, generosity, and caring nature. Marlene had a way about her, that meant you could share anything with her and like a true matriarch she made time to listen and support your ideas or ‘scheme’ up a plan. Marlene was an avid bingo player, and her bingo crew would always say she had a lucky horseshoe with her. Her lucky dabber and bag will be cherished by many in the family. The memories of hours-long card games at her kitchen table with snacks and chats will be cherished by many.

May her legacy of love continue.

  7. My condolences to all of Marlene’s family. She will be greatly missed. Since the day I joined the Burton Clan she made me feel like I truly belonged. She was very kind to me and both Ralph and myself thought very highly of her. After Ralph passed, she often checked on me to make sure I was ok. I regret not talking to her more. I thought we had more time. I will miss her.
