It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Mom, Vicki, at Health Sciences North at the age of 76 on May 6, 2026. She was surrounded by her family as she gained her wings & soared to the Heavens.
Vicki is survived by her daughter Naomi & her husband Bruce, her son Christopher & his son Hudson, her son David & his sons Phoenix, Legend, & Nova. She was loved by extended family Arne, Nowella, & Lillia, as well as countless other friends that were like family. Vicki adored her family & she is greatly missed by them all.
Born in Toronto to Thomas & Nobuko Fujimoto, Vicki would spend her youth attending school & making friends everywhere she turned. She married & had her daughter Naomi with a tremendous local musician named Walter. That marriage didn’t last, but she & her daughter would later meet Dave & live for a short time in Toronto. They moved across the country to British Columbia for a year, then back to Ontario & lived in the Ottawa area. After a little over a year there, they would find themselves in Sudbury where they stayed for quite some time. Her sons Christopher & David were born & the Marks family eventually settled in Garson.
Vicki was known for her infectious smiles, big hugs, tremendous love for her family & fabulous cooking, which she did every night. Each one of her children had friends that both Vicki & her husband Dave welcomed into their home for dinners, backyard fires & back deck hangs. Never a dull moment or empty belly left the Marks residence.
The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude for the amazing care & compassion for Vicki at Health Sciences North.
A celebration of life will be held in both Sudbury and her birth home of Toronto at a later date to be determined. Notifications will be sent out.
I will miss Vicki. I am very sorry to hear of her passing. To Christopher, David and Naomi and there families, my sincerest condolences. May you find comfort in wonderful memories of Vicki.
