Wilton, Frederick “Rick”

Rick passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Health Sciences North at age 71. He was born in Chatham, ON., on December 2, 1946 to the late Harold and Barbara (Nichols) Wilton. He married Ira-Jane in the summer of 1968 and they had a great partnership filled with love. Rick will be missed by his siblings and their families. This includes his brothers, Robert “Bob”, Brian, Beverly and 2 sisters, Janet Veres and Elizabeth Robitaille and their families. Rick was the second oldest. Missed also by his sister-in-law, Yvonne Bridgman and her daughters Wendy Terry and Shelley Bridgman Fryer and their families. Rick will be remembered for his kindnesses in so many situations. He loved to solve puzzles and enjoyed being asked for help. He was a car buff having grown up near Detroit. He enjoyed motorcycle riding owning both street bikes and dirt bikes. He was a movie buff and also had many favourite musicians that he enjoyed listening to. Rick was a golfer and curler for many years. He built and maintained his home. Rick was an artist and dabbled in many mediums. He enjoyed photography, making stained glass pieces and more recently building guitars. Each day included guitar playing. Rick will be remembered for his good nature and love of laughter. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be held in the spring in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mt. Brydges, ON. Donations in Rick’s memory may be made directly to Maison McCulloch Hospice or a charity of your choice.
