Gord will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews but above all Doug & Jeff Dueck, Yvonne Doerksen, Eileen Kehler and Val Penner as well as his special friends Marg, Kurt, Allen and their families. Gord will also be missed greatly by his “fur baby” Mr. D. Special godfather to Coreen (Krystia) Reynolds. Born in Winkler, MB, to the late Jacob and Nettie Wiebe (nee Rample). He also called Hornepayne, ON home from 1963-1973, from there he moved his family to Capreol where he resided until 2017. Gord was looking forward to welcoming his first great grandchild in January 2019. The family will remember Gord as enjoying life especially during retirement, he loved his family and they were his “#1 Priority”, hard worker & a wonderful provider. He loved long holiday trips with his daughters and one day trips later on in life. Gord was a avid golfer and enjoyed his Myrtle Beach golf trips, he especially enjoyed golfing with his partner Mathew, he also enjoyed spending time on the ice curling. His daughters remember him as being a great dad, caring, and very proud of his daughters and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Capreol Curling Club in memory of Gord would be appreciated. A celebration of Gord’s life will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the Capreol Curling Club, 1 Stull Street, Capreol, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  7. My uncle Gord was like a big brother to me that I never had. While he was attending high school in Altona Manitoba; he lived at my parents home (Abe & Sadie Dueck – Sadie being his oldest sister). He taught me how to ice skate and how to laugh. Sadly, those opportunities are gone. I will try to remember all the good times as hard as that is to do right now.

    I miss you already.
