Passed away at Maison McCulloch Hospice surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at the age of 89 years.
Predeceased by her husband Hilding Robert “Bob” Wicklander. Dear sister of Louis, predeceased (Jean) Vaillancourt, Wayne, predeceased (Mary) Vaillancourt, Ted, predeceased (Helen) Vaillancourt, Kenneth, predeceased (Margaret) Vaillancourt, Eileen “Leenie”, predeceased (Jim, predeceased) Brennan, Michael, predeceased (Pat, predeceased) Vaillancourt, Winston (Joyce) Vaillancourt, and Donald (Sharon, predeceased) Vaillancourt and their families. She was loved very much by many other family members and friends. Loving mother to Stephen (Sharon) Wicklander, Maurice (Carol) Wicklander, JoAnn (Marcel) Bedard and Lynn (Bob) Laplante. Adored grandmother to Jenny, Greg, Ryan, Cayce, Jeff, Dana, Ashley, Brad, and Erin. Cherished great grandmother to Kaden, Aiden, Ava, Mason, Brynlee, Audrey, Jaxon, Neko, Calia, Brookelyn, Austin and Cole.
Grace’s passion was gardening and flowers, she also loved knitting, game shows, theatre, sewing, baking and playing cards. “Momma Grace” worked in the office and was a member of the women’s auxiliary “CWL” for 18 years at the Holy Redeemer Church, Sudbury.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Grace’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Maison McCulloch hospice and would be appreciated by her family.
Burial service will take place at the Civic Memorial Cemetery at a later date and will be announced.
Sincere condolences to the entire Wickander family on the passing of Grace. Such a large family she had created and been part of; she will be missed by many.
