Weist, Clarence (Paw)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clarence (Paw) Weist on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Health Sciences North with loving family by his side. Born in Massey, ON to the late David and Mary Weist (Collins). Beloved husband of 60 years to Isabel Weist (Hobbs). Loving father to Pamela (Mitch), Edward (Judy), Bob (Wendy) and predeceased by son David. Cherished Paw to Michael, Jeffery, Jamie, Kelsi, Katie, Carson, Alicia, Eric and great granfather of Isaac, Danica, Landon, Jeffery, Vada, Alivia, Connor, Lily, Sara and Joshua (predeceased). In his younger days he participated and enjoyed hockey. Later taking up curling at the urging of his best friend Jack Bizley. Many Pints were downed at the Sudbury Curling Club, Northern Brewer and the Plaza Hotel. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76 for 63 years. A very special thank you to Bess and Sandy Houle for their continued support through this difficult time, the Elizabeth Center Staff and Gisèle, Angela Shannon and Stephanie from 7 North at Health Sciences North for their compassionate care. At Clarence’s request there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, 530 Castle St. in Massey, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 432 in Massey or Sick Kids Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
