Wasitis, Yvonne Jeanne (nee Daoust)

In loving memory of Yvonne Jeanne (Daoust) Wasitis (95 years), who passed peacefully June 1, 2020 at Pioneer Manor.  Beloved wife of James Wasitis (predeceased). Loving mother of Sid (Judy); Bonita (Gerry); and Deborah. Grandmother of two precious and dearly loved grandchildren. Yvonne was born in Verner, Ontario to Eusèbe Daoust and Marie (Poisson-Daoust) Sauvé. Her beloved siblings were Annette, Laurier, Laurette, Ella, Ludger, Anita (Mitta), (all predeceased.) Yvonne was aunt to many beloved nieces and nephews.  After marrying James (Jim), Yvonne worked in food service at The Sheraton Caswell Hotel and later at Kresge’s department store in Sudbury. She was known for her high energy; sense of humour; and especially for her many acts of kindness. When her high energy was finally spent, she would still exert herself to help anyone who was inconvenienced or in need, whether by taking them where they needed to go, or providing a healthy meal for a tired friend. She was always thinking of the needs of others.  Yvonne’s love for others moved her to share her bible-based hope of living forever on paradise earth in the kingdom for which Jesus taught us to pray. She did not fear death as she had faith in the grand resurrection that would take place when that kingdom is fully established. She enjoyed viewing pictures, videos, and listening to music played for her on jw.org right up until the day of her death. She will be missed until she soon awakens in the restored paradise on earth under God’s Kingdom rule.  The Wasitis family wishes to thank all the hardworking PSWs; nurses; and activity coordinators on Trillium; as well as Dr. Holub at Pioneer Manor. Your loving care and attention was so appreciated.  At Yvonne’s request there will be no service. Those wishing to remember Yvonne may donate to jw.org.
