Wanamaker Rickey Lloyd (Rick, Richard)

It is with the deepest of sorrow that we announce the passing of Rick at Health Sciences North on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at the age of 60 years. He is survived by his beloved son Devin Wanamaker. He will be greatly missed by his parents Lloyd and Barbara Wanamaker (nee Freeman). Dear Brother to Beverlee Ferguson (Wayne Gatien), Raymond (Elaine), Randy (Sherry), Wade, and Lloyd Jr. (Karen Makinen). Loving uncle to 15 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. Rick had a big heart and an infinitely positive attitude. He was a fun loving, jovial guy who was often referred to as the “life of the party”. He rarely missed an opportunity to be at any large family gathering which he enjoyed giving speeches. He cherished the days spent with his son Devin; fishing and camping were some of the activities they loved to do together. Devin was his “little sidekick” for many adventures. Rick enjoyed his visits at Dad's home workshop, washing the car and picking vegetables from the garden. He was a social person who enjoyed talking to everyone he knew and strangers alike. He was a friend to many and especially enjoyed time with Greg and Johnny. Rick was a skilled builder and took pride in his projects over the years in Canada and Turks and Caicos. Due to the social gathering restrictions at this time, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in Rick's memory can be made directly to Health Sciences North Sudbury, ICU. May you rest peacefully Rick!
