Warren Wahamaa passed away suddenly on Friday, April 5, 2019 in Lively, ON. Born in Sudbury, ON he grew up in Azilda, ON. He was the beloved son of the late Leo and Margaret Wahamaa (née Kahma). Dearly loved brother of Leanna Malenfant (Alfred) (both predeceased), Susan Kivioja (Allan), Paula Helmer (Barry- predeceased), Kathryn Wahamaa (Tony Rees) and nephew of Aate Lennart Wahamaa (predeceased) (Lillian), and Wayne Wahamaa(Gail). He will be sadly missed by his many cousins, nieces and nephews. An outdoorsman, music lover and traveller with his dog Hunter by his side, Warren worked in mechanical maintenance for Hydro One for 25 years before retiring. A gregarious man with a big heart, he travelled throughout Ontario for his work, connecting with many folks along the way. He always had a smile and a story to tell. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Towneplace Suites by Marriott, 1710 Kingsway, Sudbury, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made directly to Ducks Unlimited Canada.
To the entire Wahamaa family, my sincere condolences. I remember Warren William Walter Wahamaa growing up on Penage and later as he drove by and sometimes visited in that big tugboat he inherited from his father. It’s so sad that he passed away so young.

Dear Susan, Paula & Kathryn
Hold all your memories within your heart especially as you grew from young children into adulthood. Through tears and laughter that is what you have to hold on to now for the future.

Sad to hear of the passing of Warren, he was a great guy and I enjoyed every time we got together. Mostly in the bush somewhere fishing and laughing.. Great guy, great times.. Grant

My memory of Warren will always be at his camp many years ago – having sauna, dinner and then singing along with the Eagles for about 3 hours – Warren knew every word of every song. We went to bed and he kept singing. I know the Eagles music is in heaven with you Warren.
