Vigneault, Roger “Butch” Ernest

In loving memory of Roger “Butch” Vigneault, 78 years, who passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, in Sudbury. Roger "Butch" was the son of Emile and Francis of Kirkland Lake (both predeceased). Brother of Dennis (wife Soon) in British Columbia, and Robert of Kirkland Lake (predeceased). Father of Crystal (Joe Hunt), Roger Jr. (Tracy Hyytiainen), and Christopher (Julie Chabot) all of Sudbury who were born to Roger's first wife Krystyna Lubinski (predeceased).  Roger's remains will be laid to rest alongside those of his second wife Susan (nee Teahen, predeceased) at the Civic Memorial Cemetery during a ceremony to be held this coming Spring. Stepfather to sons Brian (predeceased), and Mark St. Martin. Roger is sadly missed by his special friend and companion Gert Lachance. Roger leaves behind his treasured grand-children: Brandon Villeneuve in Iqaluit, Nunavut (see his Facebook tribute to grandpa), Eric Hunt, William and Paige, Gregory, and Xavier; and his step-grandchildren Megan, Austin, Marshall, and Lilly-Rose. He will be fondly remembered by his former son-in-law Steve Villeneuve, former daughter-in-law Shawn Marcon, by Stacey, and by Debbie. Roger's welcoming nature, generosity, and soft-spoken words will be remembered, cherished, and missed by many relatives, friends, neighbours, work associates, and especially by members of the AA community of Sudbury.  Throughout his life, Roger loved the outdoors, camping, pets, conversation, and sweet treats! He was always eager to be a glowing audience to the many activities of his grandchildren of all sorts and their special celebrations in life. After your adventures in this life, may you rest in peace Roger and look upon us with your continued gentle understanding and love.
