Turgeon, Leslie (61)

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Les Turgeon on Christmas morning. Les loved nothing more than being a dad and grandfather. He leaves behind his three daughters, Jessica (André), Adrienne (Thomas) and Amanda, as well as his biggest joy in life, his granddaughter Olivia. Les is reunited with his late parents Melvin and Thelma. He was the second eldest of six children, leaving behind Melvin (Kathy), Debbie (Gary), Darlene, Sandra and Robbie (Jamie). He was a special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to Les’ two best friends, Randy and Tim, for their friendship and support, especially during the more difficult times in his illness. When Les was not working, you could find him spending time with friends and family or out on the golf course. Les will be remembered fondly for his ability to make anyone laugh. He had a true heart of gold, a Northern Ontario gem. A Memorial Service for Les will be held at Holy Redeemer Church, 1887 Bancroft Dr., Sudbury, ON., Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 10:00 am. The burial of his ashes will take place in Elliot Lake, ON during the summer months. In lieu of flowers or donations, please keep your money and have a beer in memory of Les.

  6. So sorry to hear the passing of Les, it was nice that Tim and Randy were with him when he was failing. They were friends from way back when they all worked in the mill in Elliot Lake. I worked with them as a student and know that Les was a decent human and will be missed by all who knew him. RIP Les.
